Missions and outreach have long been a valued part of The Bridge’s overall ministry. The Bridge earnestly desires to take part in the Great Commission so that people of all nations, tribes, and languages may be gathered one day in endless worship of Jesus Christ. It is our firm belief that the diversity of mankind and the presence of many cultures will beautify God’s Kingdom, enrich worship, and ultimately increase God’s glory.

Over the years the members of The Bridge have had the privilege of literally going to the “ends of the earth” with the aim of serving and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people from many nations. The Bridge has taken part in short-term missions efforts in places as far away as Mexico, Haiti, Ukraine, and Russia, as well as in places closer to home, like Louisiana and Oklahoma. In addition to a variety of places, our members have also participated in a variety of ministries. Our teams have helped repair homes in Baton Rouge, do prison ministry in Texas’ prison system, bring earthquake relief to Haiti, lead evangelistic youth camps in Ukraine, serve orphans in Russia, lead vacation Bible schools among Native American communities in Oklahoma, and do evangelism on the streets of Mexico. The Bridge has even had the special experience of sending missionaries to Russia who did evangelism and student ministry with Cru. Even when our members are not out on projects, they are active in supporting missionaries throughout the world.

Though it may sound cliché, we have come to know that it truly is much more blessed to give than receive. We have also seen that we really are more blessed in going than those we seek to serve. In light of what God has done over the years we look forward to seeing where else God will be taking members of The Bridge in the years to come.
